shortcut
(-3,a) = (x1,y1)
y1 = 4x1
a = 4.(-3)
a= -12
(b,4) = (x2,y2)
y2 = 4 x2
4 = 4.(b)
b= 1
then value of a = -12 and b = 1
(-3,a) = (x1,y1)
y1 = 4x1
a = 4.(-3)
a= -12
(b,4) = (x2,y2)
y2 = 4 x2
4 = 4.(b)
b= 1
then value of a = -12 and b = 1

Hello,
we have tha point (-3,a) and (b,4).
the equation of the line is:
y=4x
substituite the cordinates of point:
for (-3,a):
a=4×(-3)=12;
for (b,4):
4=4×b;
4=4b;
b=4/4=1;
b=1
Then a=-12 and b=1
bye :-)
