let,

x1=a. x2=1. x3=2

y1=b. y2=1. y3=2

if the given points ar collinear then the slope of this line is same,

so,

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(y3-y2)/(x3-x2)

(1-a) /(1-b) =(2-1)/(2-1)

1-a=1-b

a=b

so,

every point having a=b

is collinear
