Answer

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

x^3 + ax^2 + 5

p(-2) = -8 + 4a + 5

= 4a - 3

x^3 - 2x^2

p (-2) = -8 - 8

= 0

4a - 3 = 0

=> a = 3/4

Here firstly value of x :-

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

★ x^3 + ax^2 + 5

Substitute the value of x we get :-

= (-2)^3 + a(-2)^2 + 5

= -8 + 4a + 5

= 4a - 3

★ x^3 - 2x^2

★Substitute the value of x we get :-

= (-2)^3 - 2(-2)^2

= -8 - 8

= 0

★4a - 3 = 0

a = 3 ÷ 4
