⭐Actually welcome to the concept of the RAY OPTICS..
⭐Basically we know that ... Power of a lens is the reciprocal of the focal length in metres..
⭐So here , P = 1/f
⭐so the focal lenght of the lense will be f = 1/P
⭐we get the focal length as f = 1/2 ==》 f = + 0.5 m
⭐Now from here we can conclude that .. as the Focal length of the Given unknown lens is Positive 0.5 ...
⭐Then WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT THE GIVEN LENS IS A CONVEX LENS AS CONVEX LENS HAS ALWAYS A POSITIVE FOCAL LENGTH ..

It means it is convex lens and is useful to see nearby objects. Focal length 50cm
