If the price of a carpet 8 meter long and 3 meter wide is 6288, what will be the price of 12 meter long and 6 meter wide carpet.

1 ) dimensions of the first carpet

length = l = 8 m

breadth = b = 3 m

area of the carpet ( A 1 ) = lb

A1 = 8 × 3 = 24 m²

2 ) dimensions of the second carpet

L = 12 m

B = 6 m

A2 = 12 × 6

A2 = 72 m²

according to the problem given ,

price of 24m² carpet = Rs 6288

price of 72m² carpet = ?

price = ( 72 × 6288 ) / 24

= 3 × 6288

= Rs 18864
