Your Answer:

let the cost of petrol be x rupees.

And petrol is increased by 19%

So, increase in price = \large \tt x+(x\times\frac{19}{100})

=\large \tt \frac{119x}{100}\\

But she only able to spend 12% extra that means she can spend money =\large \tt x+(x\times\frac{12}{100})

= \large \tt \frac{112x}{100}

This shows that she can spend = \large \tt \frac{\frac{112x}{100}}{\frac{119x}{100}}\times100\:percent\\\\=\frac{112}{119}\times100\: percent\\\\=94.117 \:percent\\\\So,\: the \: amount \: of\: percent\: decrease\:= 100-94.117\\\\=5.883\: percent

So, the nearest integer is 6.
