\bold{\underline{\underline{\underline{ANSWER}}}}

LET THE TWO CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS TO BE (X+1) AND (X+2)

SUM OF CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS = 72

\bold{\underline{\underline{EQUATION\: FORMED}}}

(X+1) + (X+2) = 72

2X + 3 = 72

2X = 72 - 3

X = 69/2

\large\boxed{X = 34.5}

SMALLER NUMBER = X+1

= 34.5+1

= 35.5 A.N.S
