Answer:

Let,

The slant height be l

Radius be r

h^2=l^2-r^2

h^2=10^2-8^2

h^2=100-64

h^2 =36

h=6

From Pythagoras theorem

( slant height )² = ( height )² + ( radius )²

10² = h² + 8²

h² = 10² - 8²

h² = 100 - 64

h² = 36

h = √36

→ h = 6

So, height of the cone is 6 cm .
