Given :-

  • radius of the cylinder = 4 cm
  • height of the cylinder = 10 cm

To Find :-

  • total surface area of the cylinder ?

Solution :-

we know that,

if the ‘r’ is the radius and ‘h’ is the height of the cylinder, then

 \boxed{ \bold{T.S.A \: of \: cylinder = 2\pi r(r + h)}}

 \bold{:  \implies2 \times   \frac{22}{7} \times 4(4 + 10) } \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 2 \times \frac{22}{ \cancel7} \times 4 \times \cancel 14 } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 2 \times 22 \times 4 \times 2} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 352 \:  {cm}^{2}  } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

hence, the total surface area of the cylinder is 352 cm²
