if the radius of circle 5 cm and angle inclined between tangents from a point which is outside is 60° then find distance between centre to external point

Answer:

LET OB AND OC BE THE RADIUS OF CIRCLE=5cm

AND AB AND AC BE TANGENTS

now the ∠aob=30° because it is divided by ob=the distance of point from the circle

sin30°=1/2

sin30°=perpendicular/hypotenuse

1/2=5/OB

OB=10cm
