If the ratio adults to children is 1:3 and 24 student want to go what is the smallest amount of adults that will need to go

ratio of adults to children =1:3

=1/3

let the no.of adults going be y.

Now find the fraction which is an equivalent fraction of 1/3 and its denominator is 24

1/3×8/8=8/24

Therefore,no.of adults going with children =8
