If the ratio between two number is 5:7and their sum is 600 then find the largest number

Let the numbers be 5x and 7x

5x + 7x = 600

12x = 600

x = \frac{600}{12}

x = 50

Therefore the two numbers are⬇️

1] 5x = 5 × 50 = 250

2] 7x = 7 × 50 = 350

250 < 350

Therefore, 5x < 7x

2] 7x = 7 × 60* = 420)* there shold be put 50 which are the value of x not 60, the mistakeable process that stepped
