Answer:

Ratio of numbers can also be represented as ratio of x times the ratio (I.e. if the ratio is 1:2 it is equal to 1x:2x because the x cancels out).

From this we conclude that 3:4:8 is the same as 3x:4x:8x and that the sum of these values is equal to 75:

3x+4x+8x=75

15x=75

x=5

so, 3x=15,4x=20,8x=40

hope this helped :)

Answer:    let the ratios be x

               that is   12x   13x    15x

                             12x+13x+15x=800

                                            40x=800

                                                x=800/40

                                                 x=20

number of apple =15x=15*20 = 300

number of bananas = 12x=12*20= 240

number of oranges = 13x=13*20 =  260

hope it helps

tq./
