Move = 3 Median - 2 Mean

let the common ratio be x, then ;
mean = 2x
median = 3x

Mode = (3×3x) - (2×2x)
= 9x-4x
Mode = 5x

Ratio of mode and mean
= 5x/2x

= 5 : 2

Question -

If the ratio of mean and median of a Central data is 2:3 then find the ratio of its mode and mean.

Answer-

Given, ratio of mean : ratio of mode = 2 : 3

Let us take the common ratio to be x.

mean = 2x

median = 3x

Now, by formula

Mode = 3 Median - 2 Mean

》3(3x) - 2(2x)

》5x

So, the ratio of its mode to mean will be 5 : 2.
