Given :-
Ratio of areas = 9:1.

We know that area = side² and perimeter is 4s.

So....
 \frac{area \: of \: first \: square}{area \: of \: second \: square}  =  \frac{9}{1}  \\  \frac{side \: of \: first \: square}{side \: of \: second \: square}  =  \frac{3}{1}  \\  \frac{permeter\: of \: first \: square}{perimeter \: of \: second \: square}  =  \frac{4 \times 3}{4 \times 1}  =  \frac{12}{4}  =  \frac{3}{1}
Hence the ratio of perimeters is 3:1.
