if the ratio of the height of a cone and a. cylinder is 1:3 and both have same radius of base then find the ratio of their volumes

anushkachopada: if the ratio in ques is 1:3 the ratio will be 1:9... if it is 3:1. the ratio will be 1:1

v(cone)=  \frac{1}{3}  \pi   r^{2} h
v(cylinder)=  \pi  r^{2} 3h

when we divide v(cone) by v(cylinder), we get  \frac{1/3}{3} remaining... which means the ratio is 1:9
