first of all, find value of x % of y
so, x % of y = x/100 × y = xy/100
hence, x% of y = xy/100
again find y % of x
so, y % of x = y/100 × x = yx/100
hence, y% of x = xy/100
now, ratio of x % of y to y % of x = x% of y/y% of x
= (xy/100)/(xy/100)
= 1
so, x % of y = x/100 × y = xy/100
hence, x% of y = xy/100
again find y % of x
so, y % of x = y/100 × x = yx/100
hence, y% of x = xy/100
now, ratio of x % of y to y % of x = x% of y/y% of x
= (xy/100)/(xy/100)
= 1

Statement: Is X% of Y same as Y% of X ?
Let us verify above statement.
x % of y = x/100 × y = xy/100
hence, x% of y = xy/100 ----------------(i)
again find y % of x
so, y % of x = y/100 × x = yx/100
hence, y% of x = xy/100 ---------------(ii)
So, From equation (I) and (ii) it is clear that X% of Y has exactly same value as Y% of X.
=> (xy/100)/(xy/100)
= > 1
