adding 5 to both sides

x-5+5 < 0+5

x < 5

2-x+1 < 7

subtracting 3from both sides

2-x+1 - (3) < 7-3

-x < 4                             { when negative sign is multiplied on both sides then                                              

x > -4                               the inequality sign changes.}

-4<x<5                                                    

x= (-4,5)
