If the side of a square is increased by 25 then how much percent does its area get increased

let side =a
area =a^2

after increasing 25% =1.25a =5/4a
new area =( 5/4a)^2 =25/16a^2.

area increase =25/16a^2 -a^2=. 9/16a^2

%increase. =(9/16a^2). /(a^2)×100% =9/16×100%

=225/4%

=56.25%
