                          =10*10 = 100  units sq.     ...............(i)

area increased by 30% . so,

=>               10+(10*30/100) = 13  units

now , again from area of square side x side

                       = 13*13=169  units sq.      ................(ii)

changement in area of square :

subtracting equation (i) from (ii) --

=>           169–100 = 69  units sq.

percentage difference --

        =>           (69/100)*100 = 69%

from area of square :  X x X = x^2

                             = (x+0.3x)*(x+0.3x) = (x+0.3x)^2 = x^2 + 0.09 + 0.6x

                               =x^2 + 0.09 + 0.6x - x^2 = (0.6x +0.09)/x^2*100

                              = 69%
