Answer:

If the length of the sides becomes double so does the height. As base and height are becoming double the new area is 4 times the original area. When the length of the sides of a triangle double, the area becomes quadruple.

Let , Base = x

other side (height) = 2x

AREA OF TRIANGLE = ½ b x h

= ½ x X x 2X

= ½ x 2x²

= 2X²/2
