Let x =x1, y1 = 0, x2 = - 3 and y2 = - 2.

So, Slope = ( y2 - y1) /( x2 - x1 )

Slope = ( - 2 - 0) / (- 3 - x)

2/7 = - 2/ ( - 3 - x)

2( 3 + x ) = 2 × 7

6 + 2x = 14

2x = 14 - 6

2x = 8

x = 8/2 = 4

slope of the line is Y2-Y1/X2-X1

Here X1 is x and X2 is -3

Y1 is 0 and Y2 is -2

-2-0/-3-x = 2/7

-2/-3-x = 2/7

-2×7 = -3-x into 2

-14 = -6 -2x

-14+6 =-2x

-8 = -2x

x = -8/-2

x= 4

minus minus will be cancelled.

Value of x is 4
