If the SP of 20 articles is equal to the CP of 23 articles ,find the loss or gain percent for each article.

According to the question :

Sp of 20 articles = cp of 23 articles

so lets take it x

ie.

 \bold \purple{sp \: of \: 20 \: articles = cp \: of \: 23 \: articles \: } = x

So,

Sp of 1 article will be x/20

cp of 2 articles will be x/23

profit= x/20-x/23

= 3x/460

 \bold \purple{profit\% =  \frac{3x}{460}  \times  \frac{23}{x}  \times 100} \\   \boxed{15\%}

Answer:

\underline{\bigstar\:\textsf{According to the Question :}}

:\implies\texttt{SP of 20 = CP of 23}\\\\\\:\implies\tt SP \times 20 = CP \times 23\\\\\\:\implies\tt \dfrac{SP}{CP} = \dfrac{23}{20}\\\\\\:\implies\tt SP = 23\qquad and\qquad CP = 20

\underline{\bigstar\:\textsf{Gain Percentage :}}

\dashrightarrow\tt\:\:Gain\%=\dfrac{(SP-CP)}{CP} \times 100\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\tt\:\:Gain\%=\dfrac{(23-20)}{20} \times 100\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\tt\:\:Gain\%=\dfrac{3}{20} \times 100\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\tt\:\:Gain\%=3 \times 5\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\:\:\underline{\boxed{\red{\tt Gain\%=15\%}}}

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{Gain percent for articles will be \textbf{15\%.}}}
