Let the sp be x
and cp be y
then , loss = cp-sp
=y- x
loss% = loss/cp×100
= y-x/ y×100
now , if
sp =2x
cp =y
profit = 2x-y
profit% = profit /cp×100
= 2x-y/y ×100
a/q
loss% = profit%
y-x/y× 100= 2x-y/y×100
then y -y and 100-100 get cancelled
so, y-x = 2x-y
2y=3x
x=2y/3
therefore original cp is approx 2/3rd of cp.
