hey mate,
from equation :
v²=u²-2as
since v=0
thus, u²=2as
or u is directly proportional to s
(a is constant since f and m are constant)
thus, on doubling the speed the distance covered will be √2 times the intial
for example :if the initial distance was 5 m then the final distance will be 5√2 m when speed is doubled
