2x-3y=-5 let write the formula
slope(m)=a/b
=2/-3
(m)=-2/3
a+3y=6
(m)=a/3
now we equal the answers
a/3=-2/3
a=-2 .
so the valus of a is -2.

Ques is very simple .

first point is that " If two lines are parellel to each other then the ratio of coefficient of x and y shoud be equal ."

Means ,

2x-3y=-5

-2x+3y=5.....(I)

ax+3y=6...(II)

so, -2/a = 3/3

a=(-2)

Hope you will get it .

All the best .
