Electron Spin or Spin Quantum Number is the fourth quantum number for electrons in atoms and molecules. Denoted as ms , the electron spin is constituted by either upward ( ms=+1/2 ) or downward ( ms=−1/2 ) arrows.
According to Hund's rule, electrons are distributed among the orbitals of subshell in such a way as to give maximum number of unpaired electron with parallel spin. i.e. in a subshell pairing of electron will not start until and unless all the orbitals of that subshell will get one electron each with same spin.
All p orbital have the same value of l (=1) so they have same type of angular dependence irrespective of the value of principal quantum number n.
