If the sum of angle of incidence
and angle of reflection be 130°
find the angle of reflection and
angle formed between the reflected
ray with the surface of the
reflector.​

Answer:

Angle of incidence: i

Angle of reflection: r

As i = r,

let i = r = x

i + r = 130°

∴ x + x = 130°

2x = 130°

x = 65°

As the surface of the reflector, and all the rays lie on the same plane and line, all angles form a linear pair.

∴ 130° + Glancing angle + angle to be found = 180°

As Glancing angle  = angle to be found,

130° + y + y = 180°

y = 25°
