Here is your answer friend...
--->>> Sum of first n terms of A.P
Sn = an^2 + bn
Sn-1 = a(n-1 )^2 + b(n-1)
an^2 + a - 2an + bn-b
Now,,,, an = Sn - Sn -1
an^2 +bn - an^2 - a + 2an - bn + b
Put n = 1 then....
a1 = 2a -a+b = a+b
Put n= 2 then....
a2 = 4a -a +b = 3a +b
d = a2 - a1
So,,, 3a +b-a -b = 2a....
Answer is 2a....
