The 10th term of an A.P is 19.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If the sum of first n terms of an A.P is n square.

To find : Its 10th term ?

Solution :

The sum of first n terms of an A.P is n square.

i.e. S_n=n^2

Put n=1 for first term,

S_1=1^2=1

The first term is a_1=1.

Put n=2 for sum of two terms.

S_2=2^2=4

i.e. a_1+a_2=4

1+a_2=4

a_2=3

The common difference is d=a_2-a_1

d=3-1

d=2

The 10th term of the A.P is given by,

a_{10}=a+9d

a_{10}=1+9(2)

a_{10}=1+18

a_{10}=19

Therefore, the 10th term of an A.P is 19.
