if the sum of the edges of a cube is 24cm,then find its surface areas

let the edge of cube = a

sum of edges of cube = 24 

i.e. 12 a = 24  

           a = 2 cm 

 surface area of cube = 6 a²
  
                                   = 6 x 2²
                                   
                                   = 24 cm²

since all the edges of a cube are equal so let it be x and there are 12 edges
therefore 12x=24
x=2
therefore surface area is 6x^2=6(2)^2=24
therefore surface area is 24 square units
