Answer:

Take the consecutives as x, x+1, x+2

Given sum of SQUARES of the three consecutive integers is 29

==> (+(x+1)²+(x+2)²) = 29

(++1+2(x)(1)++4+2(x)(2)) = 29

(++1+2x+x²+4+4x) = 29

( 3x²+6x+5) = 29

3x²+6x -24 = 0

3 (+2x-8) = 0

(x²+2x-8) = 0

(+4x-2x-8) = 0

x(x+4)-2(x+4) = 0

(x-2)(x+4) = 0

So, x-2 = 0

x = 2

And, x+4 = 0

x = -4

x = 2 or -4

We always take x as a positive number....

So,

x = 2

x+1 = 3

x+2 = 4

The three consecutive integers are 2,3 and 4...
