\textbf{Question - }

If the sum of the two
number is 48 and their product is 432. Find the no.

\textbf{Solution - }

Let the first number be x

The sum of two number is 48

so, another number will be (48-x)

Now,

The product of two number is 432

x \times (48 - x) = 432 \\ = > 48x - {x}^{2} = 432 \\
On arranging

 {x}^{2} - 48x + 432 = 0 \\ {x}^{2} - (12 + 36)x + 432 = 0 \\ {x}^{2} - 12x - 36x + 432 = 0 \\ x(x - 12) - 36(x - 12) = 0 \\ (x - 12)(x - 36) = 0

x - 12 = 0 \\ x = 12 \\ \\ \\ x - 36 = 0 \\ x = 36
