GIVEN

The sum of three consecutive natural number is 42

TO DETERMINE

The largest number

EVALUATION

Let the three consecutive natural number are x , x + 1 & x + 2

So by the given condition

 \sf{x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 42}

 \sf{ \implies \: 3x + 3 = 42}

 \sf{ \implies \: 3x  = 39}

 \sf{ \implies \: x  = 13}

So the consecutive three natural numbers are 13, 14, 15

So the required largest natural number = 15
