Concept:

The numbers can be represented in the form of the linear expression, linear form of expression is defined as the expression which is having a degree of 1.

Given:

The sum of the three numbers is 138, and the second is 5 more than the smallest and the third is 10 more than the smallest.

Find:

The three numbers.

Solution:

Let, the smallest number be x.

The second number is (x+5) and the third number is (x+10).

Given, x+ (x + 5) + (x + 10) = 138

3x + 15 = 138

3x = 138-15

3x = 123

x = 123/3

x = 41

So, the second number will be x + 5 = 41 + 5 = 46.

And, the third number will be x + 10 = 41 + 10 = 51.

So, the three numbers are 41, 46, and 51.
