LET FIRST ODD NUMBER BE = X

LET THE OTHER ODD NUMBER BE=X+2(because x+1 will be even number )

SO OUR EQUATION WILL BE= X+X+2=228

                                                  =2X+2=228

                                                  =2X=228-2

                                                   =2X=226

                                                    =X= \frac{226}{2}

                                                  =X=113

SO ONE ODD NUMBER =113

SECOND ODD NUMBER =113+2=115

  • The consecutive numbers.

 \large {\maltese {\textsf {\textbf {\underline { Solution :}}}}}

  • Let's assume the numbers :-ㅤ‎

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ x & x + 2

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

According to the question :-

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {x + x + 2 = 228}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {2x + 2 = 228}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {2x = 228 - 2}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {2x = 226}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {x = \dfrac {226}{2}}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf {x = 113 }

.

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

Therefore, the numbers are :-

  • x = 113

  • x + 2 = 113 + 2 = 115
