Given:-

The sum of two whole numbers is 22 and their ratio is 5: 6

To Find:-

The difference between the two numbers

Solution:-

Since it is given that the ratio of two numbers is 5:6,

Let the numbers be 5x and 6x respectively

According to the given condition,

5x + 6x = 22

⇒ 11x = 22

⇒ x = 2

So, the numbers will be -

5x = (5 x 2) = 10

6x = (6 x 2) = 12

Hence, the difference between the two numbers = (12 - 10) = 2

HELLO DEAR,

GIVEN:- If the sum of two whole numbers is 22 and their ratio is 5: 6,

TO FIND:- The difference between the two numbers?

SOLUTION:-

Let the first number be = 5x

And the second number be = 6x

According to question,

=> 5x + 6x = 22

=> 11x = 22

=> x = 22/11

=> x = 2.

So, the two numbers are

5x = 5× 2 = 10

6x = 6 × 2 = 12.

And there difference =(12-10)

= 2.

I HOPE IT'S HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS.
