We know that ,
Surface area of a cube = 6 × side^2
486 = 6 × side^2
Side^2 = 486/6
Side^2 = 81
Taking square root on both the sides
Side = 9 cm
Volume of cube = side^3
= ( 9 )^3
= 729 cm^3
So the volume of the cube is 729 cm^3
