Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Φ = 1.828 eV

● Explanation -

# Given -

λ = 6800 A° = 6800×10^-10 m

# Solution -

Work function of sodium is calculated by -

Φ = hc/λ

In electron volts,

Φ = hc/eλ

Φ = (6.63×10^-34 × 3×10^8) / (1.6×10^-19 × 6800×10^-10)

Φ = 1.828 eV

Therefore, work function of Na is 1.828 eV.

Thanks dear...
