If the unit of length is tripled, the numerial value of area of square will be

Your answer is --

Let, the length of square be l

So, area of square is


S1 = l × l = l^2 unit

Since, length of square become triple

such that length = 3l

So, area of S2 = 3l × 3l = 9l^2

=> S2 = 9S1.

Therefore, the value of area of new square is 9 time the first one .

Hence, option (C) is right
