If the velocity of a body is halved,what will be the change in kinetic energy?

It’s kinetic energy (KE) is reduced to 25%, or one-quarter of its original value. This is because the formula for kinetic is KE=1/2*m*V^2. Because the velocity term in this formula is squared, a reduction by half in this term is squared as well. 0.5^2 = 0.25.
