Let the mass of the object be = (m)

Assume it's initial velocity as = (v)

So, Initial KE = ½ mv^2

Now, final velocity = (2v)

∴ Final KE = ½ (m)(2 v)²

⇒ Final KE = 2 mv²

So, ∆KE = Final KE - Initial KE

⇒ ∆KE = 2 mv² - ½ mv²

⇒ ∆KE = 3/2 mv².

∴ ∆KE is 3/2 mv².
