velocity of hydrogen molecule, v = 5 × 10⁴ cm/s or 5 × 10² m/s

mass of one mole of hydrogen molecules = 2g

so, mass of one hydrogen molecule , m = 2g/Avogadro's number

=2/6.023 × 10²³ g

= 2 × 0.166 × 10^-23 g

= 0.332 × 10^-26 kg

= 3.32 × 10^-27 Kg

using De-broglie's wavelength equation,

wavelength = h/mv

= 6.63 × 10^-34Js/(3.32 × 10^-27 kg × 5 × 10² m/s)

≈ 0.4 × 10^-9 m

≈ 4 A°

hence, answer should be 4

Answer: 4A°

Explanation:

velocity of hydrogen molecule, v = 5 × 10⁴ cm/s or 5 × 10² m/s

mass of one mole of hydrogen molecules = 2g

so, mass of one hydrogen molecule , m = 2g/Avogadro's number

=2/6.023 × 10²³ g

= 2 × 0.166 × 10^-23 g

= 0.332 × 10^-26 kg

= 3.32 × 10^-27 Kg

using De-broglie's wavelength equation,

wavelength = h/mv

= 6.63 × 10^-34Js/(3.32 × 10^-27 kg × 5 × 10² m/s)

≈ 0.4 × 10^-9 m

≈ 4A°
