If the velocity of light in vacuum is 3 x 10^8 ms-1 and in another medium M is 0.75 x 10^8 ms -1, what is the refractive index of M?​

We knkw the formula;

\implies \rm \mu =\dfrac{c}{v}

where \mu = Refractive\: index

v = speed of light in another medium, c = spped of light in vaccum.

\to\rm \mu = \dfrac{3\times 10^8}{0.75\times 10^8}

\to\rm \mu = \dfrac{3}{0.75}= \dfrac{300}{75}

\to\bf \mu = 4
