As per Ohm's law, the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference maintained across the two ends of a conductor at constant temperature and pressure.

Mathematically it can be written as -

V ∝ I       [At constant temperature and pressure]

                                        ⇒V= IR

R is called as the resistance of the conductor.

As per the question, the voltage is increased five times.

The resistance is kept fixed.

Hence, from Ohm's law, it is obvious that current will be increased five times in the conductor.
