Reduction in volume  of   10⁻¹ cm³

Explanation:

dv/v  = -P/k

P = pressure

dv = chnage in volume

v = volume

k = buk modulus

k for iron  =  10¹¹  N/m²    ( assuming )

v = 100 cm³

Pressure = 10⁸   N/m²

dv/100   =  -   10⁸ /  10¹¹

=> dv/100   =  - 1/10³

=> dv =  - 100/10³  cm³

=> dv = - 10⁻¹ cm³

- ve sign shows reduction in Volume

change in volume = Reduction in volume  of   10⁻¹ cm³
