Charge on an Alpha particle (q) = 2 × 1.6 × 10^-19

= 3.2 × 10^-19 Coulomb.

Displacement (r) of a point from the charge at which EF intensity is to be calculated

(r) = 4×10^-3m.

Therefore, EF intensity (E) = kq/r^2

= (9×10^9 × 3.2×10^-19)/(16×10^-6)

= 1.8×10^-4 N/C
