12 sheets weigh 40 g. So, 1 g. means number of sheets :
12/40.
As we know, 1 kg. = 1000 g.
Therefore, 5/2 kg. = 2500 g.

So, now in order to find out how many sheets would weigh 2500 g. we need to :
12/40×2500 = 750

And the correct answer is 750 sheets.

Hope this helped you.

Given,

The weight of 12 sheets of thick paper is 40 grams.

To find,

The number of sheets of the same paper that would weigh 5/2 Kilograms.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem using the following process:

Mathematically, according to the units of conversion:

1 Kilogram (Kg) = 1000 grams (g){Statement-1}

According to the statement-1,

5/2 Kilograms = 5/2 × 1000 grams

= 2500 grams

According to the question, by using the unitary method, we get;

40 grams is the equivalent weight of 12 sheets of the thick paper

=> 1 gram is the equivalent weight of (12/40) sheets of the thick paper

=> 5/2 Kilograms, that is, 2500 grams is the equivalent weight of {(12/40) × 2500 grams}, that is, 750 sheets of thick paper

Hence, 750 sheets of thick paper weigh 5/2 kilograms.
