weight of one sheet=x
12x=40 g
x=40/12=3.33 g
total weight=5/2 kg=2.5 kg=2500 g
number of sheets=2500/3.33
=750 full sheets

Answer:

Total number of sheets which weigh 5/2 kilograms is 750.7

Solution:

Weight measures the heaviness of the thing or the person. Everywhere on the earth the weight of a person remains the same. Weights can be measured in grams, milligrams and kilograms etc.

Given that

Assume the weight of one sheet is x

The weight of 12 sheets of thick paper =40 grams

Therefore,

\begin{array} { l } { 12 x = 40 \text { grams } } \\\\ { \therefore 12 x = 40 } \\\\ { x = \frac { 40 } { 12 } } \\\\ { x = 3.33 \text { grams } } \end{array}

The weight of one sheet x=3.33 grams

Therefore,

The given total weight= \frac{5}{2} kg

=2.5 kg

=2500 grams

Total number of sheets

= \frac {2500}{3.33} = 750.7

Therefore, Total number of sheets=750.7
