Resistance of any material depends on its resistivity, length and its cross-sectional area as per the equation, R=(ρ *L) /A

Since you have not mentioned to cut the wire half, the new two parts will have different lengths, say L1 and L2. Now the substance of wire is same, so resistivity will remain the same and so as cross-sectional area. Assuming resistance of wires as R1 and R2 respectively.

We have  R1=(ρL1)/A,R2=(ρL2)/A  

Now you are connecting both wire in parallel, so you can do simple math using parallel connection of resistance with given value.

If the wire is cut in half then the equivalent resistance of wires would be R/4, R being the resistance of the full wire.
